Georges River District Swimming Carnival

Wishing all swimmers the very best at the district carnival being held this Thursday 27th February. Just a reminder that the correct starting procedure is as follows:

 

* Starter will call the swimmers to the blocks when ready by blowing a whistle.

* "Take your mark." Swimmers should be still and ready.

* When all swimmers are steady the gun will fire.

* Second gun means a false start, a rope will drop across the lanes with swimmers to stop at the rope and a restart to occur. 

* Only 1 false start will be allowed. In the event of a second false start, the race will  proceed and the offending swimmer(s) will be disqualified.

2014 School Leaders & SRC

Intensive Swimming

The intensive swimming program for Years 2, 3 and 4 begins on Monday 17th February and runs for 2 weeks. Students swim everyday so make sure you pack your swimmers, a towel and goggles if you need them. All swimming programs are completed in our very own indoor swimming pool.
